We're more sedentary right now. Our lives are thoroughly disrupted by Covid-19. My husband Emilio used to travel often for work, so during a typical month, he'd walk miles through airports and to clients. Since March though, he's continuously at his desk in Zoom meetings.
You probably have similar stories. So today, I'm reinforcing how important it is to make it a priority to maintain some level of fitness with strength, cardio, mobility, and flexibility training. That's why I do both my Boot Camp HIIT and Yoga classes both types of training complement the other and they represent a balance that I believe strongly in.
Life happens though, so you may not be able to do my live or recorded class every day or every week. That's ok. But, do make the effort to get some movement every day. Park far away from the grocery store entrance. Take your dog for a walk instead of letting him/her out in the yard. Ride bikes as a family. Try something new like paddleboarding! (secret! One of my new Zen activities is river floats on our inflatable paddleboards). Literally, any motion is better than none.
You are the Fit By Kellie community! Share some of the creative ways you're staying in motion and getting yourself through these unprecedented times. Even if you've never taken one of my classes, everyone is part of the community. We want to hear from you!
